Art-tastic Tuesday – Team Kawaii

Dearest Patrons,

Lyle is taking a bit of a breather to realign her chakras or what have you, so you will have to wait a bit longer to read the conclusion of Chapter Four of the Harry Potter/Naruto crossover fic Shinobi & Wizards: Resolution.

In the meantime, I went searching for a bit of fanart to whet your appetites. To my surprise, Harry Potter/Naruto crosses seem to be very popular subjects for artists. After searching long and hard through the many, many choices, I have found something sure to lift your spirits.

Team Kawaii by Tsuchan

From the artist’s description of the work, it appears to be two OCs that she decided to dress up in Harry Potter/Naruto/Pokemon stuff just for fun. I think they’re adorable and quite well done. The artist, Tsuchan, has some very beautiful stuff in her gallery, including some stunning photography.

This week we’re going to finish chapter one.  Exciting, I know.  And even more exciting, I have finally left Office 2000 behind and upgraded to Office  2007.  So, hopefully I’ll be able to figure out where they’ve moved everything.

WARNING – This fic contains what could loosely be considered violence.

Welcome back, beloved and brilliant Patrons! After that refreshing break last week, today we continue with the Ouran High School Host Club fic, My Angel, but first we have my favorite part – the recap.

In the first chapter the canon character Haruhi (Haru-chan) is shot and killed by a random asshat and goes to what I’m assuming is meant to be Heaven even though it is not called such, where she is informed by an airheaded angel named Sophia that she is going to be a Guardian Angel. Haru-chan gets her hair color and clothing changed to mask her identity along with a rather vague back-story of being a French heiress named Adele, and is partnered up with some OC/author insertion named Christian who happened to die at the same time she did. The two are issued weapons with the vague instructions to shoot anything that is  “totally unholy” and then punted back to Earth in time to attend Haru-chan’s funeral where they run into another canon character, Tamaki. While attending her own funeral, Haru-chan and Christian discover that they can speak to each other via telepathy and assume this is because they are Guardian Angel partners, even though Sophia didn’t tell them about it (she didn’t really tell them anything useful, period) and the chapter ends on a rather vague note.

Hello yet again, children, and welcome to this-

Oh, hey! I get post number 300! Sweet!

Anyway, it’s that time again, folks: it’s that time where we get to tackle two chapters in the space of one installment of snarking. Why? Well, Chapter 20 is short and has more than its fair share of plot regurgitation, and Chapter 21 has a bunch of parts we can skip because—believe it or not—there are actually scenes that are decent in that chapter. Of course, the rest of it is kind of stupid, so we’ll get along with that.

Oh yeah, and the pacing is really bad for Chapter 21. That too.

So without further ado, let’s get on it.

Welcome back to another installment of A Jedi’s Destiny!

Last time, we were thrilled as our resident murderer-Stu, Markus, wandered aimlessly around the ship and talked to HK-47, an assassin protocol droid barfed up by the rift to be a walking exposition machine.  Nothing else really  happened.  When we stopped last time, Marcus has just given HK-47 the whole database of Earth’s entertainment media in order to explain their current situation.  Yes, because knowing how to sing Witchy Woman will certainly shed some light on their situation.
