What’s going on, everybody? My name is Angie and today I’m taking the CinemaSins way of choosing topics. Since “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” recently came out to just…

…just the worst reviews, we’re going to be riffing it.

Queenie: “Australian, not Scottish.”

Shut up.

Queenie: “That’s why Jack calls him a kangaroo at one point.”

I will physically fight you.

Welcome back to Angie Pays for Her Sins. This time, I’m reviewing a Lord in the Rings fanfiction to repay for Brego’s Mistress.

Queenie: I went through the tiresome labor of searching for a fanfiction, and I stumbled upon a crossover between some Earth cartoon called The Smurfs. The title is also the name of a beer brand. So…that’s fun.

This fic is called Coors Light.

Queenie: That’s…nope. That’s incorrect. The fic is called Blue Moon. Let’s begin.

No! No! I don’t want to finish The Girl! I hate this! This fanfiction is ruining what I love about my favorite book! I won’t do it, I won’t do it, I won’t do it.

Now

There’s really no reason to tie me up.

Queenie: I know, I just thought it would be fun.

Are you having fun?

Queenie: Yeah, I’m having a good time.

Couldn’t be happier for you.

Hey, everyone. So…Queenie reminded me that I didn’t—

Queenie: Couldn’t.

…couldn’t finish The Girl. And as punishment, she gave me this crapfest.

Queenie: I dig deep.

Warning: Drinking. Oh no.

FORCED, CHEESY OPENING:

*kicks down door* Ho ho ho, motherfuckers. I didn’t have time to figure out separate presents for you all so you’re all getting a Hot Wheel and a gift certificate to Chili’s.

Okay back to the riff:

It really does make me feel bad finding Christmas fics to review because it truly is such a wholesome, happy holiday.

Someone’s gotta do it though.

Merry Christmas, everybody. I’m Angie and I’m going to ruin your holiday by reviewing a fic deriving from everybody’s favorite subgenre, the songfic! Today’s song is Same Old Lang Syne, sang by the late, great Dan Fogelberg.

You know, this one.

And it’s a fic based off of another wildly famous topic, Stranger Things.

Stranger Things is a 2016 Netflix original TV show created by The Duffer Brothers. It takes place in early to mid eighties and stars Winona Ryder and rising star Finn Wolfhard. It’s full of awesome sci-fi action culminating in one of the highest praised TV shows of all time.

Can TKDP keep that magic alive? Let’s take a look at Same Old Lang Syne.

Hey, everyone! Welcome back to Child of Imagation. My name is Angie, and here’s the recap.

Last time, we met a new guardian named Image who prefers to be called Emma. So Image is called to the North Pole where Pitch is teaming up with an old friend of hers, now going by the name of Nightmare. Pitch and Nightmare then travel to a city just south of east jesus nowhere, which happens to be Jack’s hometown. Two battles occur which, combined, last about as long as the original battle of the five armies. The climax hits about seven words into the passage when Pitch hits Jack with a plot hole and he disappears. And now you’re all caught up.

That wasn’t a typo.

Welcome back everyone. My name is Angie and today I’m riffing Child of Imagation.

(Immigration? Imagination? Who knows.)

It’s based off Rise of the Guardians. Ghostie has riffed some RotG fics, so I’ll save you the infodump. Basically it’s a 2012 DreamWorks film where mythical beings join together to defeat the Boogeyman. And it’s glorious.

Anyway, Child of Imagation. Let’s begin.

It gets worse!

Welcome back, guys, gals and non-binary pals and I’m reviewing the long awaited sequel to “A spiritual waffles after an isolate existence”. This was written more than a year after the original because it’s clearly a story that needed to be continued. This sequel is significantly shorter, clocking in at just under seven hundred words, where the original was around sixteen hundred. Keep in mind these are both several chapters long. It’s also significantly worse, seeing as the grammar quality took a massive nose dive.

(Note: When I copied this onto Google Docs, it rounded out to one and a half pages. This is going to be mighty fun.)

Let’s begin.
