Hello yet again, children, and welcome back to Parallel Realities. Well… Last time, this fic finally jumped the shark after engineering an entire scenario so that InHarmsWay could follow the leaked script of ME3. You know, because it’s not like that makes his parallel galaxy look like bigger idiots than the Council or anything like that.

Anyway, after that, we have quite a lot of ground to cover. And unfortunately, most of it will likely consist of me sounding like a very broken record, because Stupard does not shut up with his Council bashing over their Reaper denial. That said, you guys will probably be very thankful, because this is the last installment where I have to deal with that kind of irritation from Stupard and friends for longer than one scene.

So let’s get going, shall we?

By this point, I am so fucking done with this fic that it isn’t even funny. And I’m only on chapter three. Of eleven. So you can forget about a cutesy little intro. I just want to get this chapter over with.

Art-tastic Monday – Poster Post!

This one’s pretty cool – it’s a fan-made post for one of my favorite movies. The artist has some really neat stuff in his portfolio, most have a similar retro look to them.

Welcome once more, my dear Patrons! I’m here with yet another chapter from my Fruits Basket fic. As is often the case, not a whole lot happened last time; Tohru ran around the forest injuring herself and being tragic, and the guys elected to stay home and went to bed in the middle of the day. Like the previous chapter, Chapter 7 (titled Pica Boo for some reason) begins exactly where the last chapter ended.

Hello again patrons, and welcome back to Parallel Realities.

So last time, we began the ME3 arc with—what else?—bad logic. And then we ended the chapter with Stupard randomly killing a man because said man was too over the top for us to take seriously. Well, okay, that’s not really why, but it might as well be the reason why.

So now… we’re left to look at the rest of this chapter. Let’s not waste any more time, patrons, and let’s dive right in.

When we left our tepid group of adventurers last week the valley was under attack from the most incompetent group of TIE fighter pilots to ever grace a cockpit.  In several minutes of strafing runs, they manage to completely and contintually miss building sized dinosaurs with blaster fire.  A cave-man with a rock would have been more effective than these turkeys.  Meanwile, Stu had finally remembered that he has a nearly pristine Starship-Stu down in the Great Valley, and that it was just waiting to unleash some uncalled for badassery.  After a quick communion with the Dark Side, Stu learns to fly the ship, and opens the fic up to a whole new realm of poorly paced space combat.

Art-Tastic Monday – Eek!

I’ve been trying to find fanart that showcases source materials that we haven’t show fanart for before; it’s easy to find stuff for Twilight or Harry Potter but I like the challenge of locating things that might otherwise be missed. That said, I picked Nancy Drew as the topic for this week’s fanart. I wasn’t surprised to discover that there was fanart – it is a very long-running series after all – but what I didn’t expect was to find a reoccurring bondage theme in many of the works.

Like so.

I guess it does make some sense given how many times Nancy & Co have been captured and tied up by bad guys over the years, but unless there was a novel where they investigated a dominatrix I don’t see how many of the images I found would fit with the canon. Many images are just nondescript girls tied up in a visual version of the Formless Void that are just given the title of Nancy Drew.

And as a “special” bonus – there’s a whole series from the same artist!
