Hello, everyone!  Last time on “In the Absence of Cherry Blossoms,” we watched as Sakura started her first day of American school in which she met a principal that knew way too much about the daily happenings of one random male student that happened to be passing by.  That student turned out to be Creeps-a-lot Bear named Teddy and we witnessed what could only be called clothing porn without the clothing.  The purple got pretty thick and then Teddy decided he’s going to just call her “Cherry” instead of using her real name.  When we left them, Sakura and Asshole were about to start their first class of the day.

Koori is MIA at the moment but I’m sure she’ll be along soon.  Last I saw her she was heading back to Sub-Level 12 to find spare parts for her new Pretentiousness Meter.  Herr’s “Great Rift” fic broke it last week.

Chapter three is called “Ten,” which doesn’t currently make any sort of sense.  Maybe we’ll find out by the end of this chapter.

Good morning, lovelies!  Are you all ready for another gripping chapter of humanized Care Bears?

Koori: Considering we haven’t seen any of those yet, I don’t think we can call it “another” chapter of them.

Details, details.  *sips her tea*

Koori: Last week all we saw was a clueless “Japanese” exchange student bitch about how there aren’t any cherry blossoms in America, even though we have photographic proof that there are, and we were introduced to her equally clueless aunt who has only lived there for four years but speaks perfect English.

Hello, everyone!  With the end of “Shinobi & Wizards: Resolution,” Koori is taking a much needed break from riffing.  She’ll be spending a few weeks training our jumping shark while I go at riffing this fic solo.  I’ve found us an interesting little story called “In the Absence of Cherry Blossoms.”  It’s from the Care Bears wing of fanfiction.net.  The summary caught my eye; I’ll share it with you before we begin.

shoujo mangafied au care bears fanfic in which all the residents of care-a-lot are thrown into a change of scenery. here at carawood high, home of the carawood bears, we’ll explore the lives of the personified care bears through the eyes of sweet sakura bear, our japanese exchange student as she struggles and develops through the problems of a high school girl.
