Just when I think I’ve seen everything, I find something even more baffling and bizarre. Like Guitar Hero fanfics.
I’ve never played the game but I have seen it featured on TV shows and movies, usually when there is a character that the director wants to portray as an immature man-child. The premise seems simple enough, a track of sorts scrolls from the bottom of the screen to the top with colored bars of differing lengths and you have to press the corresponding colored buttons on your fake musical instrument to match the length of the bars. There’s probably some sort of points system involved as well, I don’t know. (For all I know, after you reach a certain level you can bang a virtual groupie on your virtual tour bus for bonus points.) It’s not exactly a game to inspire a great epic.
