Hello, dear readers!  Now that we’re done with the zombie Smurfs, we’re going to move on to something more serious*:  the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

*may be 92% less serious than pictured on box

I found this gem in the American Girl fanfic section.  I loved the American Girl books as a kid, and read them over and over.  I always wanted to get one of the dolls and the matching dresses.  I read the doll catalogs as closely and repeatedly as I read the books.  My best friend had an American Girl doll.  It was the coolest doll ever.  I was deprived.

But moving on, I can hear you wondering, ‘But what does the American Girl franchise have to do with 9/11?’

That’s a great question, dear readers, and the answer may shock you:  Absolutely nothing, at least in this story.  But the story is a beautiful symphony of fail in so many ways that I’m going to riff it anyway.
